Welcome to our Urn Shop

To give beautiful memories an important place in daily life, design studio Bye creates unique urns. Bye’s urns are designed with the idea that farewell and sorrow can be made kinder, lighter, and more beautiful, bringing them closer to life and the essence of the individual.

Buying an Urn

By law, the ashes of a deceased person must be kept for a month before they can be collected. After this period, the ashes are provided in an urn container. You then have plenty of time to find an urn or consider an alternative destination for the ashes. There are many different urns available for purchase, so it’s essential to explore your options. Important factors in your choice include whether you intend to place the urn indoors or outdoors, as not all urns are suitable for outdoor use. Size is also crucial in your decision-making process. After cremation, there will be approximately 3 – 3.5 liters of ashes, so if you want to keep all the ashes in a single urn, it’s essential to look for one with a minimum capacity of this size.

Mini Urn

A mini urn is used to hold a portion of the ashes, while the remaining ashes can be scattered or distributed among multiple individuals. Our BOAT is an example of a mini urn that is often ordered by families.

Viewing an Urn Before Purchase

You can find many urns online, including Bye’s urns, available for purchase through our Urn Shop. We also understand the importance of seeing and holding the urn before making a decision. We have over 50 locations throughout the Netherlands where you can view and purchase our urns. Feel free to contact us, and we will help you find a store or showroom near you that sells Bye urns.

Filling an Urn

You can fill an urn yourself, and we have instructional videos to guide you, such as our own instructional video example urn filling. It is often possible to have the urn filled by the crematorium or funeral director as well. If you have any questions or need additional information about this, you can always contact us.

Our Urn Collection

In our Urn Shop, we offer a collection of urns in various sizes, light colors, and made from sustainable, high-quality materials such as wood, porcelain, marble, and glass. Some variants are available in a 3-liter size, typically sufficient for one person’s ashes. An example of a 3-liter urn is the BELL SHRINE BIRD MARBLE 3 LITER.
