To give beautiful memories an important place in daily life, design studio Bye designs unique urns. Bye's urns are designed with the idea that it can be kinder, lighter and more beautiful around farewell and grief, closer to life and how someone was.

Buying an urn

The ashes of a deceased person must be kept for a month by law before you can collect them. After this month, the ashes are given away in an ash container. You then have all the time to find an urn or think about another destination for the ashes. There are many different urns for sale. So it is good to look at what is available. It is important to know whether you want to place the urn inside or outside, since not all urns are suitable for outside placement. The size is also important in your choice. Because after cremation, approximately 3 - 3.5 liters of ash remain, if you want to keep all the ashes in one urn, it is important to look for this as the minimum size.

Mini urn

A mini urn is used to store a portion of the ashes. The remaining ashes are scattered or divided among several people. Our BOAT is an example of a mini urn, of which several are often ordered by families.

View an urn before purchasing it

There are many urns to be found on the internet. Bye urns can be purchased on the internet, including through our Urn Shop. We also understand very well that it is nice to see and hold the urn first. We have over 50 locations throughout the Netherlands where our urns can be viewed and purchased. So please feel free to contact us and we will see which store/showroom is near you where Bye urns are sold.

Filling an urn

You can fill an urn yourself, we have also made instruction videos for this, such as our own instruction video. It is often also possible to have the urn filled by the crematorium or the funeral director. If you have any questions or need additional information about this, you can always contact us.

In our Urn Shop we offer you a collection of urns, in various sizes, various light colors and made of durable, high-quality materials, such as wood, porcelain, marble and glass.
